Life was empty, life was void
I had no plan, I had no purpose
Mission and vision I also lacked
So what was the point of my existence?
A question I frequently asked myself
My days had no meaning, they were pointless
My life was just one long black tunnel without the light at the end
I was searching for the light,
For how long would I search?
Every day I went to sleep,
Looking forward to another pointless day,
But for the first time, this night was different
I met a man, I met a friend,
He said he had been waiting for me to come home,
He had been loving, watching and protecting me
For the first time in my life, I heard words with meaning
The word ‘love’ suddenly meant so much more,
From that night, I met a father
Who gave me a plan and purpose, filled me with visions and missions
Once again I looked at this black tunnel that was once my life
I NOW SAW LIGHT!
Light that kept growing bigger filling me with joy and gladness,
People see me now and ask “What changed?”
“What’s your testimony?”
And I reply, “ONCE I WAS BLIND, BUT NOW, I SEE THE LIGHT”
