Beautiful Daughter

Let’s do an introduction:

One day I was behind the wheel, and I found myself saying this prayer ‘Jesus take the wheel’. Don’t be confused, it wasn’t out of fear. But I realized even as comfortable and commendable as I was, I was prone to making mistakes. I did make a few at some points. Then, I remembered that I knew a man who never for once, had an accident.

My Message:

Beautiful daughter, you’d agree with me that there is a feeling of pride associated with knowing that you can control the wheel. There’s a delight you experience when you can respond to people, making them understand you’ve got your life in order. You know how people ask, ‘so what’s next?’ And you have a number of plans to list out, at that moment, they smile and drop good comments. You, of course, feel amazing that you have your life planned out.

But, how much control have you given to Jesus? Which is easier, knowing that He is leading you perfectly and you can rest in His will, breathing easily, or struggling to pull yourself through, trusting in your ability to make the right judgment at all times, and ending up worried when things go wrong?

We can easily sing the lyrics of that song ‘Jesus take the wheel’ but the reality of letting that happen, is you taking a seat beside him, or the back seat, watching him cruise you along in this journey of life.

It’s easier to lead, to direct, to order around but difficult to being led, submitting or being at the receiving end of directions and instructions.

As we transit from phase to phase, it is possible we have no clue what the journey might bring. Young girls of today will be ladies tomorrow, young ladies are progressing and transiting to motherhood, one way or the other, we all have to move. But I advise that you surrender totally to God and let him lead. You might wanna sing that song again and again. It’s okay to remind God that you need him every step of the way, I do too. It is indeed awesome to know that He is right beside us ready to take control as soon as we release it.

Sing with me, the lyrics of Carrie’s song.

Jesus, take the wheel
Take it from my hands
‘Cause I can’t do this on my own
I’m letting go
So give me one more chance
And save me from this road I’m on
Jesus, take the wheel
