[Podcast] Butterflies and Roses

Listen and be blessed

Transcript

He walked away in such a haste, repeating that I meant nothing to him.
I had crowned him King, giving him a sacred seat
I had selected his lines , perfect for a proposal.
‘Roses are reds violets are blue,
I know you love me and I love you too’
It would have been a dream come true,
But all that he said was ‘I was never meant for you’
Then my world came down and the walls went up
As far as I was concerned, there was no such thing as love
I had given him my all, but got nothing in return
Butterflies in my belly, that once gracefully fluttered,
clustered together, dying one after the other.
The tears that fell as my heart bled,
Borne from repeated rejection, triggered depression.
But, in that moment, when every joy had faded away,
What I saw, took my breath away.
For under the dark cloud, where I sadly lay
It all of a sudden began to rain, what I would call a Roses Rain.
I stood mortified as I beheld this wonder, when a voice called out from above
‘I have loved you with an everlasting love’
I picked up a rose, a letter from my Father,
His words to me were all that mattered.
Before I chose him, he gave me a gift
And because I am greatly loved by him,
He will give to me a man, that loves me unconditionally.
